Vor 15 Jahren, am 22.07.2011, wurden in der norwegischen Hauptstadt Oslo und auf der Insel Utøya 77 Menschen getötet, darunter 69 Jugendliche, die an einem Ferienlager der Jugendorganisation der Sozialdemokratischen Arbeiter*innenpartei teilnahmen. Seine rassistischen, antisemitischen, antikommunistischen und antifeministischen Motive legte der Attentäter in einem Manifest offen. Die Tat prägte den Rechtsterrorismus nachhaltig, seither haben sich zahlreiche weitere Täter positiv auf diesen Anschlag bezogen.
So auch ein Täter, der am 22.07.2016, vor 10 Jahren, neun Menschen im Olympia-Einkaufzentrum in München erschoss. Seine Tat fand am gleichen Datum wie der Anschlag in Norwegen statt, er äußerte ein rassistisches und extrem rechtes Weltbild und bezog sich auf das Manifest des Täters von 2011. Trotz des ersichtlichen Zusammenhangs beider Anschläge wurde lange von einem politischen Motiv abgesehen und die Tat von Seiten des Landeskriminalamtes Bayern als Amoklauf eines (psychisch kranken) Einzeltäters eingeordnet.
Beide Anschläge sind heute wenig präsent in der öffentlichen Wahrnehmung und Erinnerungskultur.
Mit dieser Veranstaltungsreihe soll dem Vergessen etwas entgegengesetzt, über die Taten und ihre politischen Dimensionen aufgeklärt und an die Ermordeten erinnert werden.

15 years ago on the 22/7/2011, 77 people were killed the Norwegian capital Oslo and on the island Utøya. Among them were 69 young people who participated at the summer camp of the youth organization of the social democratic workers party. The perpetrator published his racist, anti-semitic, anti-communist and anti-feminist motives in a manifesto. The attack had long term influence on right wing terrorism. Since then a lot of perpetrators positively refered on the attack of Oslo and Utøya.
This is also true for the perpetrator, who shot nine people at the Olympia shopping mall in Munich on the 22/7/2016, ten years ago. His attack took place on the same date as the attack in Norway, he expressed racist and far right ideology and refered to the manifesto of the perpetrator of 2011. Despite the obvious relationship of both terror attacks, the authorities didn’t speak of a political motive for a long time and the attack was classified as a rampage by a (mentally ill) lone perpetrator by the criminal police of the Bavarian state.
Today, both attacks are largely absent from public awareness and the culture of remembrance.
This series of events is intended to counteract the tendency to forget, to shed light on the acts and their political dimensions, and to honor the memory of those who were murdered.
